International Women's Day

Hi Everyone,
We held a small meeting this week of the planning Group to organise an event in Dublin 1 for International Women's Day (8th March). Last year we ran a morning Information/Activity Fair for which Pavee Point generously provided the venue. Member groups of the Local Global Women's Partnership contributed resources, personnel, food and time to the event and individual volunteers gave of their specialist skills and time.

Based on replies so far and some phone calls, Tuesday 2nd February seems the best date next week. There will be building work starting here at DMRC so Cairde have kindly agreed to give us a room at their office at 19 Belvedere Place, off Mountjoy Square at 11.00am.

If you are unable to send someone to represent your group, please let us know whether Monday or Tuesday suits you best so we can plan the weekly Planning Group meetings for the rest of February. Also, if your group is running something in the week of International Women's Day, please send me the date before next Tuesday if possible so we can avoid a clash when we pick the morning for our event. Hill Street Family Resource Centre will hold their Pamper Day again, which may be on Monday 8th March, (to be confirmed). Last year we used the Wednesday. What are your views of the most suitable morning?

You can text me on 086 171 3246 or phone me on 8730684.
Thanks,
Nadette
