Towards The Development of Sustainable Ethnic Minority Led Organisations

The aim of the course is to strengthen the sustainability and empower emerging organisations through the provision of information, support and training on organisational development. The course targets specifically ethnic minority led groups as well as community organisations representing and working with immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers in the Dublin Region

The course will include targeted information, advice and networking focused on key areas of organizational development. Participants will gain information and skills through training sessions and discussions focused on key issues relating to organisational development. They will also be encouraged to learn from each other - to share their experiences in setting up their own groups and to explore together solutions and strategies to organisational development that work for their communities.

It is expected that organisations participating will use what they learn in the program and apply their learning and new skills towards the development of their own groups development and project planning.
Integrating Ireland is an independent network of community and voluntary groups working in mutual solidarity to promote and to realise the human rights, equality, and full integration of refugees, people seeking asylum, migrants and immigrants in Ireland.

The target group for these training modules is the Dublin Regional Network of Integrating Ireland, which includes organisations based in Co. Dublin who are representing and working with Immigrants, Refugees and/or Asylum Seekers. The program will include participation of Network Members and new organisations. This course is also being delivered regionally in Integrating Ireland’s four other regional networks over the next eight months for groups based in the West, South West and South Eastern Networks.

This programme is funded by The Wheel Training Links Grant Scheme2008-2010.

The Training Program is one element of Integrating Ireland’s Organisational Development and Outreach Program, led at a regional and national level by the organisations’ Networking Team. For further information on the programme or Network, please contact:
