DICE Project
Greetings from the DICE Project, The 4th DICE (Development and Intercultural Education Project) Annual Conference 2010 is taking place in Limerick on the 17th and 18th of June 2010. Each year the conference aims to bring together academics, practitioners, student teachers, NGOs and all others in the education sector, to engage in dialogue and reflect on practice relevant to Development and Intercultural Education. It is an opportunity for us all to explore current thinking in the field, particularly as it relates to the formal education sector. The format of the conference will provide for workshops, research presentations and panel discussions, and the atmosphere will be one of mutual support and learning. The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Development Education Matters’. This year’s keynote speakers are: Mr. David Hicks - Visiting Professor for Bath Spa University in the United Kingdom Ms. Loes Witteveen - Lecturer and Coordinator of the master programme Rural Development & Communication at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences (part of Wageningen University and Research Centre) in the Netherlands Some of the workshops (of which all will relate to this year’s theme) on offer during this year’s conference include:African Drumming and DancingDigital AnimationStory-tellingCeramics Please find attached more information regarding the conference including information as to how to reserve a place.
