Centre for Creative Practices

Please find below an update on the programme of the newly opened Centre for Creative Practices in 15 Pembroke Street. Writing and Publishing at the Centre for Creative PracticesCreative Writing Courses at the Centre for Creative Practices are starting from next week. We will be running a number of evening courses of six and ten weeks duration and a series of one-day seminars focused on developing writing style and artistic imagination. An interdisciplinary environment combined with professional support, mentoring and regular updates on publishing options are the key areas for Writing and Publishing at the Centre for Creative Practices. The course topics include traditional literary genres, non-fiction, travel, reviews and dramatic writing but also journalism, writing for children, graphic novel, book illustrating and the new modes of online writing. Some of our seminars and workshops are designed to provide manuscripts and book ideas assessment, consultation on available publishing opportunities and mentoring for new writers. All tutors working at CFCP are professional writers, publishers and journalists with a long experience in Creative Writing tutorials and are happy to share with our participants their expertise. The Centre for Creative Practices is also a meeting and exchange point for writers, publishers, journalists, book sellers as well as for those who seek to develop their writing skills. All participants of Creative Writing Courses at CFCP get a 10% discount on all other events organised in the Centre including exhibitions, readings, screenings, talks, installations, creative jams and others. Other events Our website for international arts in Ireland www.artconnected.ie and regular exhibitions in our new venue will start from early November. Pleased with the success of our artistic workshop series “Mixed Technique Encounters” run from the 19th till 27th September we are planning to continue offering professional development workshops for professional and amateur artists. We have dedicated our space in 15 Pembroke Street to promote new creative works, projects and thoughts; therefore if you are looking for a venue for an event, workshop, concert, screening, exhibition or other creative project please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be delighted to give you our best support to present your works, skills and ideas.
