the National Youth Council of Ireland and Boston College

Integrating Ireland with the National Youth Council of Ireland and Boston College is holding a lunchtime seminar on Tuesday November 17th for youth groups and immigrant-led organisations to meet Molly Baldwin from Boston, USA, who runs a large youth community centre and project called Roca. Roca, is a vision and value-led organization committed to serving the most disenfranchised and disengaged young people with effective and innovative approaches to helping them move toward economic independence and living out of harm’s way. The organisation works with large communities of ethnic minority and immigrant youth as well as broader youth groups—View the web-link for more information http://www.rocainc.org/This is a unique opportunity to learn from good practice internationally in working with marginalised young people. The seminar will also serve to network youth services and minority-ethnic led groups based around Dublin to each other. Participation is free, but limited in numbers. Registration is essential through the Boston College, Thea Gilien at gilien@bc.edu
