Mentoring programme
Just a quick note to say that, after the successful conclusion of a mentoring programme that matched local people - both Irish and long established non-Irish residents - with newly arrived migrants through one-to-one mentoring relationships in Dublin, the ICI received a grant extension from the European Fund for the Integration of Third Country Nationals (through the Office of the Minister for Integration and administered by Pobal) to roll out the programme nationally. Following from a training session for trainers hosted by the ICI in February 2010, our partners are currently recruiting mentees and mentors in Blanchardstown/Dublin (Crosscare); Tallaght/Dublin (Dodder Valley Partnership); Galway City (Galway Partnership); Limerick City and county (Doras Luimní); and Mallow and Fermoy/Co. Cork (Avondhu Blackwater Partnership Ltd). Details can be found in the attached advertisements. I would appreciate if you could pass the information on to your contacts whom you feel might be interested in getting involved as mentees and mentors.
